HAPPY NEW YEAR!CONFERENCES . . .
The new year began in Washington, D.C. at the National Title I Conference on January 21-24! It was so exciting to share Interactive Reading & Notetaking with more than 2000 educators from all over the United States! Together, we can revolutionize teaching AND learning!
TRAINING SESSIONS . . .
Thank you all for your continued support of Interactive Reading & Notetaking!
We are hosting institutes in all parts of Virginia from February to August 2010! If interested in hosting a workshop in your school, it will be necessary to send a minimum of 2 teachers to our institutes first so we can get them ready to lead your staff! Sustained staff development at its best!
Rappahannock Community College is also offering two of our classes starting in February - Interactive Reading & Notetaking and Interactive Reading & Notetaking for Pre-K to First Grade! Both are 3 credit classes and may be used for recertification points. Both classes are blended instruction - 3 Saturdays of in-class instruction, 8 weeks classroom implementation and online collaboration. Check with your advisor or for more information please call Harriet Dawson at Rappahannock CC at 804-758-6755.
SUPPORT MATERIALS . . .
All interactive notepages & teacher guides are aligned with Virginia's curriculum framework. We offer SOCIAL STUDIES and SCIENCE in grades K-8, MATH, grades 3-8, and READING, grades 2-7. Kindergarten notepages & teacher guides for science and social studies are ready to go! Our materials are awesome, but they are secondary to the strategies. JOIN US FOR TRAINING to understand the WHYs behind the strategies!
We will be aligning social studies, grades 1-8 with the new standards in non-test years first! Alignment is important so we need to continue teaching the old standards until the new standards are tested in 2010-2011. Field test questions do not count for or against our students!

It's going to be another TERRIFIC year!
Let's revolutionize teaching AND learning together!
